Terms of use
Crom Services, Australia
Last updated (effective date): 4 October 2026
Contact: privacy@cromservices.com.au
These terms have two parts:
- Part 1 covers using the Crom Services website (cromservices.com.au) and asking us for a quote.
- Part 2 covers Brief, our email assistant for small businesses (brief.cromservices.com.au).
Our privacy policy explains how we handle personal information for both.
Part 1: Using the Crom Services website
- Who we are. This website belongs to Crom Services, in Australia. We build simple booking websites for local businesses, and we make Brief.
- Information on this site. We try to keep this site accurate and up to date, but it is general information, not advice for your situation. Prices and timelines for your job are set in your quote, not on this site.
- Demos. Some links go to demo sites we built to show how our work looks and works, such as Little Chip Dental. A demo is not a real business, and its names, prices and bookings are made up. Please don't enter real personal or health details into a demo.
- Quotes. Asking for a quote doesn't commit you to anything. A quote is an offer for the work it describes. Work starts only after you accept the quote, and the scope, price and timeline in that accepted quote are what apply.
- Links to other sites. We link to sites we don't run (for example Google, demo sites and payment providers). Their own terms and privacy policies apply there.
- Intellectual property. The text, logo and design of this website belong to Crom Services. You may share links to it. Please don't copy the site or present it as your own. What we build for a client is handed over as set out in that client's accepted quote.
- Acceptable use. Don't misuse the site: no attempts to break, overload or get unauthorised access to it, and no spam sent through our contact details.
- Liability. Australian consumer guarantees apply where they apply, and nothing in these terms excludes them. Beyond that, and to the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss caused by relying on general information on this website.
- Changes. We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the current version.
- Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia.
- Contact. privacy@cromservices.com.au for privacy questions and these terms. Quote enquiries: cromservices@gmail.com.
Part 2: Brief terms of use
Same operator as the privacy policy.
Operator: Crom Services, Australia.
Product: Brief. Contact: privacy@cromservices.com.au
Governing law: Western Australia.
- The service. Brief connects the Gmail inbox you authorise, reads recent mail, and shows you a Brief (summary, actions, draft text you can copy). We do not replace Gmail. When you tap Send on a reply, we send it from your Gmail. We do not send without you. We do not keep the emails after the Brief is written.
- Account. Magic-link login. You must be 18+ and able to bind the business. One account email. You keep your Gmail password; we never ask for it.
- Your mailbox. You warrant you have the right to connect that inbox. You are responsible for what is in it. We process whatever is in the lookback window, then discard it.
- Google. Connect uses Google OAuth with Gmail read-only. If you use Reply, we also ask for Gmail compose so we can send the reply you confirm. You can revoke Brief in your Google Account at any time. Our use of Google user data follows the Google User Data Policy (Limited Use) and the privacy policy.
- Plans and payment. Prices on the site. Not registered for GST; prices are GST-free. Stripe Checkout and Customer Portal. Card is taken after the first Brief if you want the trial to continue. Cancel in one click in the Portal. Unpaid users keep the one Brief they already saw until it expires or they wipe; they cannot run another scan.
- Acceptable use. No sharing an account to read someone else’s mail without authority. No abusing jobs or scraping. We may rate-limit or disconnect a mailbox that looks like abuse.
- Our promise, and its limit. We will process and discard as described in the privacy policy. We do not promise that every Brief is complete or correct. You remain responsible for replies, quotes, payments, and anything you send.
- Intellectual property. You keep your mail and your Briefs. We keep the product, brand, and software.
- Privacy. The privacy policy is part of these terms: https://cromservices.com.au/privacy
- Disconnect and wipe. You can disconnect a mailbox or delete the account. Invoices we must keep for tax stay with Stripe. We cannot unsay a digest already in your inbox.
- Availability. Best effort. Daily Briefs need a valid Google grant. If you revoke us, the job stops.
- Liability. Australian consumer guarantees apply where they apply. Beyond that, our liability is limited to the fees you paid us in the last 3 months, to the extent the law allows. We are not liable for missed emails, bad drafts, or anything you send.
- Changes. We may update these terms. Material changes: notice by email or in-app. Continued use after the effective date is acceptance.
- End. You can delete the account any time. We can suspend for non-payment or misuse. On end, wipe runs as in the privacy policy.
- Contact / complaints. privacy@cromservices.com.au. OAIC for privacy complaints.
