Squarespace booking not syncing to your calendar?

Squarespace bookings run on Acuity Scheduling. If new appointments aren't showing in your Google, Outlook or iCloud calendar, or your own events aren't blocking times, check these in order.

Quick checks

  1. Give it time.A new sync can take about 30 minutes to fill in. If it's been more than an hour, keep going.
  2. Look at the right calendar. One account can hold several calendars. Make sure you're viewing the one Acuity sends to, and check in a web browser, not just the phone app.
  3. Changed your calendar password?A password change often disconnects the sync. In Acuity, click Sync with Other Calendars, pick your calendar type on the left and reconnect.

Check the sync settings

  1. Confirm which calendar each Acuity calendar uses.In Sync with Other Calendars > Google, use the Google Calendar dropdown for each Acuity calendar. “Select a calendar … (not syncing)” means it isn't connected.
  2. Want your events to block bookings?Tick the block off time box under the dropdown, then Save.
  3. Reconnect cleanly.Click Disconnect Google Calendar account, then Connect to Google Calendar and choose your options again. Appointments already synced stay put.

Know what doesn't sync

  1. Edit in Acuity, not your calendar.Changes made in Google or Outlook don't flow back. Acuity replaces them on the next sync, so reschedule and cancel in Acuity.
  2. Some events never block time.Events marked Free, and Outlook events marked Working Elsewhere or Tentative, don't block time. Acuity's own blocked time and padding don't send to Google.
  3. Still stuck? Contact support with details.Say which direction fails, the date and time of the event, the calendar names, and whether you use an app or a browser.
